Fatima

FATIMA, the site of the Blessed Virgin's appearance to the three children, Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta in 1917, is now revered as one of the world's most significant Marian Shrines. Officially recognized by the church in 1930, Fatima attracts millions of pilgrims, especially during the Feast Days, which occur on the 13th of each month from May to October. In 2017, Fatima marked its centenary year with Pope Francis presiding over the ceremonies that included the canonization of Francisco and Jacinta.

All pilgrimages to Fatima are led by a representative of Barter's Travelnet and feature a comprehensive program. Pilgrims have the opportunity to participate in all official ceremonies, as well as a half-day tour visiting Aljustrel and the Fatima Parish Church, and a guided tour of the Sanctuary area.

ROME

Discover the heart of Catholicism in Rome and Vatican City, where ancient history and deep spirituality come together in a truly inspiring pilgrimage experience. As the centre of the Catholic Church, Vatican City offers pilgrims the chance to attend Papal audiences, marvel at the grandeur of St. Peter’s Basilica, and stand in awe before the Sistine Chapel and the priceless treasures of the Vatican Museums. In Rome, explore sacred sites like the Basilica of St. John Lateran, the Catacombs, and the Church of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem, home to relics of the Passion. A pilgrimage to Rome and the Vatican is not only a journey through the foundations of Christianity, but a chance to deepen your faith in the presence of centuries of devotion.

assisi

Tucked into the hills of Umbria, Assisi welcomes pilgrims with its peaceful charm and deep spiritual legacy. It is the birthplace of St. Francis of Assisi, one of the Church’s most beloved saints, and home to the magnificent 13th-century Basilica of St. Francis, where his tomb rests. Visitors can also explore the Basilica of St. Clare, the San Damiano chapel, and the quiet paths where St. Francis once walked in prayer and simplicity. A pilgrimage to Assisi invites reflection, humility, and a closer encounter with the Franciscan spirit of peace and devotion.

Medjugorje

Since 1981, in the small village of Medjugorje in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Blessed Virgin Mary has been appearing and sharing messages of peace, hope, and spiritual renewal. She tells us that these are special years of grace granted by God, and in Her own words: “I have come to tell the world that God exists. He is the fullness of life, and to enjoy this fullness and peace, you must return to God.” Her mission is to guide us back to Her Son, Jesus, through heartfelt prayer and deep personal conversion. Pilgrims who journey to Medjugorje are invited to respond to this urgent call with open hearts, to “pray with the heart and surrender yourselves to Jesus in prayer” (Message of Our Lady, 08/11/1984). A pilgrimage to Medjugorje offers not just a travel experience, but a profound opportunity to renew your faith and reconnect with the presence of God in your life.
