Day 1 - Pietrelcina – San Giovanni Rotondo
- Depart Dublin at 06:15 and arrive in Naples Airport at 10:40
- On arrival in Naples meet with our tour escort and transfer by private coach to San Giovanni Rotondo
- On route stop to Pietrelcina, the birthplace of Saint Pio. See the friary built on the exact spot where Padre Pio prophesied it would one day stand. We visit St. Pio’s family home and the church of St. Anna where Padre Pio was baptised and received his First Holy Communion. Continue to San Giovanni Rotondo
- Continue to San Giovanni Rotondo
- Arrive at hotel. Dinner and overnight
Day 2 - San Giovanni Rotondo – San Michele Arcangelo Sanctuary
- Breakfast in hotel. Visit the Capuchin Friary, including Saint Pio’s cell, the crucifix before which he received the stigmata, and the old and new churches.
- Visit Padre Pio’s tomb and the English Office, established to assist English-speaking pilgrims.
- Drive to Monte Sant’Angelo for a visit of the Sanctuary set within the cave and its charming village.
- Continue towards Martina Franca/Fasano or surrounding area.
- Accommodation in hotel. Dinner and overnight
Day 3 - Castellana Caves – Alberobello – Dinner in Masseria
- Breakfast in hotel. Visit the Castellana Caves with an experienced guide, exploring the underground landscape of stalactites, stalagmites, fossils, cavities and spectacular caverns.
- Continue to Alberobello.
- Lunch at leisure.
- Guided visit of the famous “Town of Trulli”.
- Evening dinner in a traditional Masseria with typical Apulian cuisine.
- Return to hotel. Overnight.
Day 4 - Bari
- Breakfast in hotel. Drive to Bari for a guided visit.
- Lunch at leisure.
- Afternoon free to explore Bari.
- Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 - Lecce
- Breakfast in hotel.
- Drive to Lecce. Guided visit of the Baroque city, including its magnificent historic centre, beautiful churches and buildings.
- Lunch at leisure.
- Afternoon free in Lecce.
- Return to hotel.
- Dinner and overnight
Day 6 - Altamura – Matera
- Breakfast in hotel. Drive to Altamura. Guided visit of Altamura’s old town and Romanesque-style Cathedral in the heart of the main square.
- Transfer to Matera.
- Lunch at leisure.
- Guided visit of Matera, the famous “Town of Sassi”.
- Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight
Day 7 - Optional Tour to Ostuni – Price to be advised
- Breakfast in hotel.
- Day at leisure or optional excursion to Ostuni.
- Visit an olive oil farm with tasting.
- Dinner and overnight
Day 8 - Castel Del Monte – Overnight in Naples
- Breakfast in hotel.
- Depart for Castel Del Monte.
- Guided visit of Castel Del Monte.
- Lunch at leisure.
- Continue to Naples outskirts.
- Accommodation in hotel.
- Dinner and overnight.
Day 9 - Departure
- Breakfast in hotel.
- Transfer by coach to Naples Airport for return flight to Dublin.
- Depart Naples at 11:40 and arrive in Dublin at 14:05
