Prague Holidays

Prague is one of the jewels of Europe. And since the Velvet Revolution of 1989 people have been visiting and revisiting to experience a capital city that can easily match the allure of Paris, Rome, London or Berlin.

It is a large city but it doesn't feel like it. So much of what it has to offer can be reached by foot. The Old Town, Wenceslas Square, The Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, any number of cobbled streets and quirky neighbourhoods will lead you from one of these treasures to the next. If your feet do start to feel the heat then there's always Prague's excellent Metro, tram and bus services.

Art and Culture are venerated in Prague. There are many galleries and museums to visit: The National Musuem, The Lapidarium and the KGB Museum to name but a few. Then there's the Kinksky Palace and the Sternberg Palace which house fabulous collections of the Czech National Gallery. And of course, no visit to Prague would be complete without dropping in on a few of the many spectacular churches that abound in this magical city.

Of course, as with the other great capitals, Prague offers the ardent shopper a fantastic experience. From high-end designer stores to high street and quirky, funky flea markets there's something for everyone and every pocket. The same can be said for the food and drink. The choice is wide and varied and as with elsewhere in Europe, cafe culture is very much a la mode. Prague is a city rich in everything that makes a city great. Great Culture, great food, great people, great energy. Time to go or perhaps time to go back.
