Day 1 | Arrive Athens

Let it sink in – you’re standing in what was once the centre of the Western world, where the likes of Socrates, Aristotle and Plato shared wisdom that has stood the test of time. Your launchpad to a Greek island adventure begins in the capital. There’s plenty of time to relax on the island, so lace up your walking shoes and discover the city your way. Later, join your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a glimpse of what lies ahead.

Day 2 | Athens sightseeing and free time

The Acropolis looms large over Athens and today you’ll get up close and personal with this ancient citadel. Your Local Guide reveals its extraordinary history that spans thousands of years, as you view the archaeological remains of temples, theatres and the mighty Parthenon, considered the most important building to survive Classical Greece. You’ll also view the Panathinaiko Olympic Stadium, the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch, passing by Syntagma Square to admire the curiously clad Evzone guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The rest of the day is yours to explore Athens on your terms. With ancient history still fresh in your your mind, you may wish to embark on a Choice Experience to see the 5th-century BC Temple of Poseidon at Sounion. Or, why not visit a turtle sanctuary as part of our MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Choice Experience? This evening, if the sizzle of street food hasn’t already captured your attention, you may choose to join your fellow travellers for an optional traditional dinner at a favourite city taverna.

Cape Sounion - Drive to Mainland Greece's southern edge to marvel at the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion, dating back to the 5th Century B.C. Play detective and try to spot where Byron left his mark on the temple's columns. Soak up the stunning views of the wild coastline while diving deep into the tales of ancient Greece. 

Glyfada Turtle Sanctuary - Discover the Glyfada Turtle Rehab Centre, the Mediterranean's first turtle sanctuary. Meet the heroes who help injured turtles, fight for their survival and spread the word about why these sweet creatures deserve our protection. This experience directly supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water. 

A Night of Greek Flavours in Psiri - Indulge in the ultimate Greek night out in Athens’ buzzing Psiri district with a “meze style” dinner. Live like the locals: wine that keeps on coming and traditional dishes piled in the middle for everyone to dive into. It’s your all-access pass to savour the rich flavours of Greek cuisine.

Day 3 | Athens – Santorini

Don’t resist the urge to slow things down as you leave the busy cityscape behind and catch a high-speed ferry to Santorini. The spectacular volcanic eruption in 1646 BC left its magical mark on the island's dramatic landscape. After checking in and an orientation tour, you'll have some free time to explore at your own pace.

Day 4 | Santorini free time

Don’t waste a second of your time lazing on the sunsoaked beaches of Santorini when you can ascend to its highest point for stunning views instead. This Choice Experience will reveal the iconic landscapes of the Cyclades you’ve only seen in photographs – the gleaming whitewashed buildings, cerulean blue domes, and cascades of cerise bougainvillea. Alternatively, you could board a caïque fishing boat to the volcano, soaking in its warm thermal waters and healing mud, all set against the enchanting backdrop of Santorini’s cliff-top villages. Or, take to the water on a catamaran cruise through the caldera, where you can swim, snorkel and soak up the sea breeze. This evening, there’s no better place to bid farewell to another beautiful island day than in Oia. Stroll through its marble streets to our favourite sunset spot and capture the Instagram shot of the trip.

Santorini Island Tour with Visit to Megalochori - Set off on a Santorini tour, hitting all the top spots from Akrotiri's ancient vibes to Perivolos' unique black sands. Start with a scenic drive up to Profitis Ilias for panoramic views, then drive by charming Cycladic villages and marvel at the quintessential Cycladic architecture. Dive deep into history at the Bronze Age site of Akrotiri. Finish with a relaxing dip in the striking black sands of the beach. Special Note: This optional can also be offered with extension to visit Oia village. Rate for full-day experience including Oia visit is €118.00

Traditional Greek Wedding Show - Travelling through Greece means one thing: food, glorious food! Immerse yourself in the authentic culture of Athens with a trip to a traditional taverna. Dive into the rich tastes of Greek cuisine with a meal and a drink of your choice. As you feast, enjoy the live dance and music performances that bring the local culture to life. And the fun doesn't have to stop—be part of the story. Meet the family. Eat, drink, dance, and break plates. Opa!    

Santorini Caldera Catamaran Cruise - Set sail on a catamaran and cruise through Santorini’s epic caldera. Sunbathe on deck, splash into the crystal-clear Aegean, or snorkel to spot colourful fish. With sea breezes, jaw-dropping views and plenty of time to swim and chill, it’s the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation! 

Sunset On Board - Hop on a grand wooden "caique" and set off toward Nea Kameni's sleeping giant. Whether you're up for a volcanic hike or just relaxing on deck, there's a thermal hot spring dip waiting with your name on it. Then, unwind with a laid-back dinner, wine in hand, tunes in the air, and good company.  As the Santorini sun dips, painting Oia in shades of magic, get ready for an unforgettable night. Day 5 | Santorini free time

Indulge in another full day to explore Santorini your way. Choose from several Choice Experiences to fill your day, or simply stroll through Fira’s narrow streets, shopping for last-minute souvenirs, clothing and jewellery. Incredible views of the Caldera are never far as you wander the island’s ancient paths, villages and beaches at your own pace. Why not make the most of your final evening in Santorin by sampling the local culinary delights with uninterrupted views of the Aegean Sea? There’s always time for one last ouzo.

Day 6 | Santorini – Mykonos

Bound for the island playground of Mykonos, all that stands between you and the sun-kissed shores of the Cyclades is a short high-speed ferry ride. After transferring to your hotel, Mykonos is yours for the taking so don’t hold back. Seek out your favourite island spots for the rest of your stay. Whitewashed houses line the narrow streets, and life feels idyllic behind the colourful wooden shutters that shield the locals from the warm Mediterranean sun.

Day 7 | Mykonos free time

Snap your fingers and you’ll be on the other side of the island. Well, almost. Spend your day exploring tiny Mykonos your way, or join your fellow travellers for an optional Island tour, driving through arid landscapes to some of its most celebrated beaches. Before dipping your toes into the water, you’ll visit Ano Mera, a traditional village home to a 16 -century monastery dedicated to the protectress of Mykonos. Then, continue to the beautiful Blue Flag beach of Kalafatis.

Mykonos Island Tour - Today's the day you dive into vibrant Mykonos as you cruise through stunning Cycladic scenes, and check out some seriously gorgeous beaches. Your adventure kicks off in the quaint village of Ano Mera, where you'll visit the monastery dedicated to the island's guardian. Then, it's off to Kalafatis Beach to enjoy a swim in the beautiful Aegean Sea.

Day 8 | Mykonos free time

Grab your front-row seat to the goings-on in Mykonos's old port as you perched on one of the brightly painted wooden balconies characteristic of Little Venice. There’s time today to wander through the shopping streets of Chora village and see the 16 -century windmills of Kato Mili, which overlook the bay. For history lovers, there’s no better way to spend the day than joining an optional visit to nearby Delos, the legendary birthplace of Apollo and his twin sister Artemis. On this captivating exploration of what was once the most important site in ancient Greece, you’ll discover many artefacts unearthed from the ruins of this sacred island. After a day of sightseeing, make the most of your final evening in this island playground. Seek out a taverna with beautiful sunset views and toast to another day in paradise with new friends.

Ancient Delos - Set sail to UNESCO-listed Delos, where myths are real and history’s etched in stone. Day 9 | Mykonos – Athens

Leaving island life behind, it’s time to return to Athens for a final exhilarating encounter with the vibrant Greek capital. After transferring to your Athens hotel, spend the evening wandering the narrow lanes of Plaka following your nose past its 19 -century facades to find the best souvlaki in town. A lively evening lies ahead if you’ve yet to have your fill of good times with good friends. Keep your toes tapping to the street music that fills the air and find a taverna with your name on it.

As you prepare for your return journey and long after you arrive home, you’ll remember the generous spirit, postcard-perfect scenery and enduring legacy of the ancients, among the many gifts Greece has given you. Say farewell to your new friends at the end of your holiday.
