Highlights
Marvel at the sights along the Rhine River, including passage through the Rhine Gorge and the river bend outside of Boppard. Visit six historic towns and cities, including Strasbourg, Koblenz, Rüdesheim, Speyer, Breisach and Lucerne. Drive through the folkloric scenery of Black Forest on a visit to the old town of Freiburg. See stunning mountain vistas on a railway journey up the Bernese Oberland Mountain range. Enjoy a live violin soloist and a folk music performance on board the luxury ship.
DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN COLOGNE
Travel to Cologne to board our ship.
DAY 2 KOBLENZ
Relax with a morning sailing. After lunch, we will enjoy a guided tour of Koblenz.
DAY 3 RHINE GORGE & RÜDESHEIM
Marvel at the dramatic sights of the Rhine Gorge, then wander charming Rüdesheim, a classic Rhine wine village.
DAY 4 SPEYER
Berth in Speyer after a leisurely morning sailing to see the breathtaking Imperial Cathedral.
DAY 5 STRASBOURG
Cruise to Strasbourg, the capital of the Alsace region, where we’ll enjoy a guided tour of its old town this afternoon.
DAY 6 BREISACH & BLACK FOREST OR ALSACE WINE ROUTE
Explore the ancient town of Breisach. Later, drive through the Black Forest to Freiburg or along the Alsace wine route.
DAY 7 LUCERNE & BERNESE OBERLAND
Take the short drive to Lucerne for some time to explore, before continuing to Bernese Oberland for a scenic rail journey.
DAY 8 RETURN HOME
It’s time to say goodbye to your crew and start the journey home.
