Val Thorens
Looking for unbeatable snow and unforgettable après-ski? Val Thorens is the place to be.
At 2,300 meters, it’s the highest ski resort in Europe, offering incredible snow reliability from late November through early May. With access to the world-famous 3 Vallées ski area, you’ll have over 600 km of groomed slopes at your skis – from gentle beginner runs to thrilling black pistes and world-class freeride zones.
Val Thorens is perfect for:
- Beginners & families – wide, confidence-building slopes and excellent ski schools
- Intermediates – endless blue and red runs across multiple valleys
- Advanced skiers & snowboarders – glacier runs, steep couloirs, and vast off-piste terrain
- Freestylers – snowpark with jumps, rails, and boardercross
- Snow lovers – one of the longest and most snow-sure seasons in the Alps
But the fun doesn’t stop when the lifts close…
Val Thorens Après-Ski & Nightlife
Val Thorens is just as famous for its nightlife as it is for its skiing – it's a top choice for those who want to ski hard and play hard.
- La Folie Douce – iconic slope-side party with DJs, dancers, and champagne showers starting in the afternoon
- 360 Bar – chill daytime hangout that turns into an open-air dance party
- Le Saloon & Café Snesko – rowdy, energetic après spots with live music
- Malaysia Club – the biggest nightclub in the Alps, located underground, hosting top DJs until 4 a.m.
From sun-soaked après sessions on the mountain to late-night dancing in town, Val Thorens brings the party atmosphere all season long.
4* Hotel Tango – Val Thorens
- Ski-in, ski-out spot right in the centre of town.
- Après outdoors on the sun terrace.

The Hotel Tango is a fun place to stay right in the centre of the resort, with its popular bar and indulgent spa. And best of all, you’ll have ski-in, ski-out access to the highest resort in Europe.
There’s a quirky edge to the décor here – especially in the rooms, which are done up in deep blues and reds, and have wallpaper patterned with tartan or snowy trees. Most of them have a balcony too, so you can look out over real winter scenery.
Pop back to the hotel at lunchtime to fuel up in the Alpine Kitchen restaurant – the oven-fresh pizzas always hit the spot. Then in the afternoons, it's all about the music and good vibes. You can make the most of the sauna and hammam in the spa instead.
