Tignes

- World-class resort with distinct villages and slopes on the Grande Motte glacier.
- Ski on a fantastic variety of high-altitude slopes, shared with glitzy Val d’Isère.
- Each village has its own feel – from après hubs to quiet, family-friendly picks.
- Free entry to the Le Lagon public pool, so you can end each day with a splash.
Tignes is a top-tier resort with 300km of piste across the Tignes-Val d’Isère area (formerly called the Espace Killy). It’s got skiing way up to 3,456m on the Grande Motte glacier, and excellent slopes to suit every kind of snow-lover. We're talking tree-lined runs, long descents from the glacier, and tougher-than-average blues and reds to test your technique. There are even nine free lifts dotted throughout the nursery areas to get first-timers started without having to buy a lift pass.
The resort’s made up of several villages at different altitudes, each with its own atmosphere. In Val Claret and Le Lac, you’ll be in the heart of the action – Val Claret’s got the best access to the glacier, but both have plenty of ski-in, ski-out places to stay, and you can spend your evenings hopping between the local bars. Or if you prefer a quieter base, pick Tignes 1800 or Les Brévières and devote off-slope time to swimming in the hotel pool or unwinding in your apartment. Wherever you end up, the scenery’s sure to impress too – there aren’t many ski resorts where you can wake up to views of a frozen lake.
You can even get an up-close look with an ice diving experience. Or, to make a different kind of splash, make the most of free entry to the Le Lagon pool with a 6 day lift pass, and ride the waterslide instead. And to keep the snowy thrills going, try the Bun J Ride – an activity that’s part ski jumping and bungee jumping all in one.
Holidays in Tignes come with 24/7 phone support and a Crystal Rep in your resort. Find out more about our Crystal service.
Tignes holds the Flocon Vert label for its commitment to sustainable development, and the Green Globe label for its commitment to environmental protection, social responsibility and economic management.
