Pineda de Mar is where you go on the Costa Brava for a laid-back holiday. Family-friendly with an outstanding 3 km beach and the nearby Montenegre National Park make it a haven from the hustle and bustle of life for a week or two.
The town itself is a perfect mix of old and new with a welcoming, safe atmosphere. Families congregate every evening in the cobbled streets and squares to eat, drink and enjoy themselves. There's also a cute harbour where you watch the twilight turn to night.
Pineda's main beach is perfect for families and safe swimming. There are plenty of sun beds and loungers and always enough space.
There's also a promenade running the length of the beach for those times when you need to stretch your legs and work off a few calories.
Only 35 minutes drive from Barcelona, Pineda de Mar is also a great base for venturing a little further should the mood take you.
