Lanzarote, Canaries Holidays
Lanzarote is the most easterly of the Canary Islands. As with the rest of the Canary Islands it is volcanic in origin which gives it an unusual and fascinating landscape. In fact the island has a UNESCO Biosphere protected status. The beaches in Lanzarote offer a mixture of white sand, golden sand and black sand and all usually accompanied by a pleasant sea breeze. From large sprawling beaches to small coves there is plenty to choose from. Water sports, especially wind surfing, are very popular in Lanzarote.
Temperatures during the summer months typically range from 25°C to 30°C, with plenty of sunshine and very little rain. The ocean breeze helps to moderate the heat, making it feel more comfortable, especially near the coast. Lanzarote’s summer climate is perfect for outdoor activities like sunbathing, swimming, and water sports, as well as exploring the island’s volcanic landscapes and beaches.
While Lanzarote is considered a quieter island in terms of nightlife than its Canarian counterpart Tenerife, there are still plenty of sports bars and family bars to choose from. With a few discos’ around too! Irish bars are popular where you’ll nearly always find live music. You’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants, from the traditional Canarian / Spanish cuisine, to Italian, to Chinese, to Indian, to steak houses and fish restaurants. Be sure to try some of the local dishes though, including traditional soups and stews, the green and red Mojo sauces and goats cheeses to name but a few. All pleasantly washed down with some of the local wines!
Whether you are looking for a lazy beach holiday or a fun filled adventure Lanzarote has it all!
3* Tabaiba Center Apartments
In Costa Teguise, Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain
These traditional-style apartments are right on the fringes of Costa Teguise's action-packed centre.
Tabaiba's grabbed itself a best-of-both-worlds spot for some downtime. The apartments are slightly off the beaten track but still within easy reach of Costa Teguise's town centre and beaches – there's even a free shuttle bus that'll whisk you to them in a little over five minutes.
The complex itself is visually striking, washed all in white with little turrets poking out from the rooftop. Inside, apartments are decked out with traditional mahogany furniture, and come with kitchenettes, which include a hob, a fridge and a microwave.
Location
Costa Teguise is a seaside resort that has never lost its personality, even though it's grown in popularity. The beaches are the primary draw, but that’s not all Costa Teguise has to offer. Whitewashed buildings gather close to a palm-fringed shore, and the streets are filled with restaurants, bars and shops. In fact, it’s such a beloved Canarian destination that the King of Spain has a summer residence here.
