Fuerteventura was a key location for the latest Star Wars film, Solo. A Star Wars Story and it's possible to see the locations up close. Since 2009, the island has been a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. In 2015 it was also recognised as a Starlight Reserve thanks to its dark skies filled with sparkling jewels rather than artificial light.
