Didim Holidays
With Didim holidays, you can spend your days paddleboarding in the sea and your nights dancing at a beach club.
Chilled vibe
This town used to be best known for its historical sites like the Apollon Temple – one of the best-preserved temples in the world – and the ancient city of Miletus. Now, tourists are starting to flock here for its picturesque coastline and buzzing beach clubs. Although it’s becoming a more popular spot, it’s still not as busy as the likes of Istanbul and Antalya, so you’ll still be able to find some quiet areas.
Buzzing beach clubs
Didim gives you your typical sand and sea beaches – Blue Flag Altinkum Beach is a 10-minute drive from the centre and slightly quieter Akbuk Bay is double the distance. But there’s also a whole load of beach clubs if you want something a bit livelier. You can get to Blue Point Beach club by taxi in 10 minutes – it has a wooden pier with comfy sunloungers and music playing around the clock. When the sun goes down, you can expect DJ performances and a whole lot of dancing.
Temples and ancient cities
When you’re not partying it up on the beach, you can visit the Apollon Temple. It’s been well preserved, meaning there’s plenty to see, with traditional Greek columns shooting up into the sky and intricately carved stone faces all around. If that’s not enough, the ancient city of Miletus is a 30-minute drive away – here you’ll find an open-air museum and the Great Theatre among the remaining ruins.
Traditional Turkish market
Turkey knows how to throw together a market, and Didim’s Saturday offering is no different. Head down in the morning to get a taste of the hustle and bustle of a real Turkish market. The place will be filled with locals getting their fresh produce. You’ll also find hidden gems like little trinkets and accessories, too. The market is split into two sections, with fruit and veg on one side and accessories and clothes on the other, so it should be quite easy to find what you’re after.
Anda Barut Collection
In Didim, Bodrum area, Turkey
This hotel will come with a selection of pools, loads of restaurants and a huge adventure park.
The Anda Barut Collection will be split into three different sections – one for families, one for adults and another for all. There’ll be a selection of swimming pools on either side of the hotel, as well as a large main pool at the centre that everyone can make use of.
This place will go the extra mile when it comes to entertainment – the hotel’s adventure park is set to host a selection of waterslides, and a games arcade. The kids’ club will set-up shop here, too, and it’ll host the likes of foam parties, team tournaments and cinema sessions for little ones and teens.
