Join us for a 7-night walking adventure along Croatia’s stunning Dalmatian Coast, where breathtaking natural beauty and rich cultural heritage combine for an unforgettable holiday. Accompanied by local expert walking guides, our journey takes us through a series of captivating hikes along the shores of the turquoise Adriatic Sea.
Each walking route is carefully designed for moderate levels, allowing you to experience nature at a comfortable yet energetic pace. Discover the dramatic limestone cliffs of the Cetina Canyon, ascend the majestic Biokovo Mountains, and explore the historic trails of Brac Island and vibrant coastal towns like Makarska and Omis.
Let each day reveal the captivating blend of history, culture, and stunning vistas that make Croatia’s landscapes so unforgettable.
This holiday is graded as a moderate walking holiday. Hikes range from 11km-16km. Expect to be walking between 3 to 6 hours per day with ascents between 140m – 610m and descents between 140m - 740m on good paths, with some rocky sections. A good level of fitness and previous hiking experience is required for this holiday.
Day 1 – Travel to Croatia
Fly from Dublin to Split and transfer to our hotel in Baska Voda, the 5-star Bluesun Hotel Berulia. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure before dinner with the group.
Day 2 – Cetina Canyon & Omiš
Hike from Kostanje through hillsides overlooking the Cetina River and into the canyon. Finish with a boat ride to Omiš and free time to explore.
Walk: 12km, 3–4 hours, 230m ascent / 500m descent.
Day 3 – Biokovo Foothills
Hike from the hotel into the Biokovo foothills for sweeping coastal views, then follow the shoreline promenade back to Brela.
Walk: 16km, 5–6 hours, 500m ascent / 495m descent.
Day 4 – Brac Island
Boat to Brac and walk scenic island trails through pine forests with Adriatic views. Finish by the coast with time for a swim before returning.
Walk: 13km, 3–4 hours, 140m ascent / descent.
Day 5 – Tucepi & Biokovo Hills
Walk from the Biokovo foothills toward Tucepi, passing old churches, villages, and the 17th-century Veliki Kaštel with views of Brac and Hvar.
Walk: 11km, 5–6 hours, 610m ascent / 645m descent.
Day 6 – At Leisure / Optional Split
Relax locally or join an optional trip to Split, home to Diocletian’s Palace.
Day 7 – Bast to Makarska
Walk from Bast along panoramic coastal paths, descending through pines and olive groves to Vepric Shrine, finishing in Makarska with time to explore.
Walk: 11km, 5–6 hours, 460m ascent / 740m descent.
Day 8 – Return Home
Transfer to Split Airport for the flight back to Dublin.
