Tucked away in the residential Old Town, the California Palace provides a low-key base from which to explore the rest of Salou.
This place is set in Salou’s quieter old town, around a 10-minute walk from the beaches of Ponent and Llevant. You’ve got a cluster of bars, cafes and restaurants just five minutes’ walk away, and plenty more in the centre of Salou.
These modern, low-rise apartments are glass-fronted, which makes for a light and airy feel as you enter the lobby. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and they’re decked out in neutral tones.

What's Salou like?
You can fly direct to the Costa Dorada in Spain from Dublin, Cork or Shannon. Salou lies just south of Barcelona, and is 20 minutes' drive from the huge PortAventura theme park. There are several waterparks in the area and a go-kart track with a stomach-dropping bungee rocket ride. You can zip-line and practise archery in the town park, and go hiking, biking and horse-riding.
