There’s a lot to love about Bansko, from the views of the Pirin National Park to the cheap drinks and buzzing post-piste atmosphere. For first-timers, there’s a highly rated ski school and quiet nursery slopes up the mountain where you can practise. Little learners can find their ski legs in the dedicated kids’ zone with its slaloms, obstacles and arches.
