Day 2 – Conwy Castle & Great Orme Tramway
After breakfast, we take a short drive to the magnificent Conwy Castle for a guided visit of around 1.5 hours. From here, we stroll into Conwy’s charming town centre, where you’ll enjoy free time to explore at your own pace and sample lunch in one of its inviting cafés or pubs."
In the afternoon we will travel back to Llandudno where we board the historic Great Orme Tramway, one of the UK’s oldest cable-hauled tramways. As the tram ascends the limestone headland, enjoy sweeping views over Llandudno, the sparkling sea, and the surrounding mountains. At the summit, there’s time to relax, take photos, and soak up the fresh coastal air before we make our return.
Evening at your leisure
Day 3 – Snowdonia / Lyn Padarn / Llanberis Lake Railway & Quarry Hospital
After breakfast, we will travel into the heart of Snowdonia National Park. Whichever route we take, the journey promises breathtaking scenery.
We will then pause in the charming village of Betws-y-Coed for a comfort break, with a little free time to browse the local shops.
In the afternoon, you can choose between a relaxing walk around Llyn Padarn or a short heritage train ride on the Llanberis Lake Railway, offering wonderful mountain views.
Later, we will visit the historic Quarry Hospital in Llanberis. Built in 1860 to serve the Dinorwig slate quarry, the hospital cared for injured quarry workers at a time when blasting, rockfalls, and heavy machinery made slate mining a dangerous trade.
Evening at leisure.

Famous for its colourful, Italian-inspired architecture, winding streets, and beautiful gardens, Portmeirion offers a charming blend of history, art, and stunning coastal views. You’ll have time to explore the village and enjoy the unique atmosphere.
We will then head back towards Llandudno stopping in Caernarfon on the way.
