Khao Lak

Khao Lak, located just an hour’s drive north of Phuket Island on the gorgeous Andaman seaboard, is one of Thailand's most peaceful resort destinations. No less than three national parks are embraced by the surrounding hills that sweep down to this lovely stretch of coastline with beaches that go on for miles. Only 80km from Phuket, Khao Lak offers a rare oasis for relaxation, with a superb combination of cool tropical forest, lovely beachfront accommodation and expansive white sand beaches. And those beaches are more beautiful than ever. Khao Lak has many newly built and refurbished resorts providing a quantity and quality of accommodation never before seen in this area.

Elephant Hills Jungle Lake Safari

The Elephant Hills Jungle Lake Safari is a popular experience in Thailand, offering a unique blend of wildlife, adventure, and relaxation. Located in the Khao Sok National Park, this safari involves a stay in luxury tented camps amidst the stunning rainforest.

Guests can enjoy activities such as elephant trekking, kayaking, and jungle safaris, all while surrounded by the natural beauty of the region. The safari includes visits to the Cheow Lan Lake, where visitors can explore the lake by boat and spot wildlife such as monkeys, birds, and possibly even tigers. The experience often combines cultural elements, allowing travelers to interact with local communities and learn about their way of life.

It’s an excellent option for nature lovers and those seeking a more immersive, off-the-beaten-path experience in Thailand.

Koh Yao

Koh Yao Noi and Koh Yao Yai are a pair of large islands in the middle of Phang Nga Bay, equidistant to Phuket and the Krabi mainland. While the pace of development is accelerating on Koh Yao Noi in particular, the islands remain a quiet refuge that feels far removed from the crowds of Phuket. In 2002, Koh Yao Noi gained worldwide attention after receiving the World Legacy Award for Destination Stewardship from Conservation International and National Geographic Traveler magazine for the eco-friendly homestay programs offered by its local residents. Other activities available on the island include agricultural demonstrations (rubber and fishing), kayaking, hiking, snorkelling and swimming.
