NICE HOLIDAYS
Nice
With the Mediterranean lapping at its shores Nice enjoys a prime position in the Cote d’Azure. See the work of Henri Matisse, honoured at the Musee Matisse on the hilltop where the artist once lived. People-watch along the Promenade des Anglais at the heart of the action. Dine on local Nicois dishes washed down with some excellent ‘vin de Bellet’; Nice’s house wine, produced on the hills directly behind the city.
Promenade del Anglais
BEACH FUN
Soak up the sights of the Mediterranean Sea, and people watch at one the many bars and restaurants along the way.
Marche Aux Fleurs Cours Saleya
MARKET
An incredible flower market in the Old Town dating back to 1897. The impressive floral display is a must see and there’s fruit, vegetables and street food too.
Musee d’Art Moderne et d’Art Contemporain
MUSEUM
Artwork from the 1950s to the present, including pieces by Andy Warhol. There’s lots to see across the three floors of the museum; the highlight being the rooftop exhibition space, with spectacular views of the town offering the perfect backdrop to the art.
