Gozo
Just a 25-minute ferry ride away from Malta, Gozo’s (which means ‘joy’ in Castilian!) charm becomes apparent the moment you arrive on the island. Gozo boasts dreamy storybook scenery and offers visitors a slower-paced, more leisurely rhythm than its sister island Malta. Gozo offers you a haven, away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday life. This magical island can offers a variety of cultural sites and natural landscapes, including world-class diving, rock climbing and picturesque walking routes boasting wildlife and wildflowers. Relax and enjoy the bliss and pleasure that Gozo has to offer.

The Azure Reef
There are different legends that are told throughout the island, a popular one is that the island was controlled by nymph Calypso who held the hero of the story a prisoner of love for seven years! Listen out for more legends while chatting with the locals, they are truly fascinating! While in Gozo, make sure you check out The Ggantija temples which, along with the Megalithic Temples of Malta, are the world’s oldest free-standing structures! On the west coast of Gozo, the Azure Reef is a fantastic spot for diving and exploring the reef. It’s over 40 metres deep and offers an experience like no other. It is also a home to thousands of different fish, eel and other marine life.

Victoria
Victoria is the capital of Gozo and is the bustling centre of the island. This vibrant city will keep you on your toes! Known in Maltese as Rabat, Victoria has many things to do and see. A personal favourite would be The Old Prison, which is over 500 years old. In this historic building, you’ll find some interesting etchings on the walls, giving us a glimpse into the lives of the prisoners who were sent here in the 16th century. The prison is open every day from 9 am to 5 pm, with 4.30 pm being the last entry time, so make sure you get in early to get the most out of your trip!
