What is Yoga?

 Yoga arose from the ancient Dravidian and Vedic traditions of ten thousand years ago or more. It grew from the need to understand the various aspects of human experience, from the physical through to the more subtle or inner realm. The ancient practices of yoga have been adapted to contemporary living and includes: postures, breathing techniques and meditation practices.

Daily Itinerary

Day 1 ♦ Transfer from airport etc.

Day 2 ♦ Each day will begin with various postures to stretch the body and release tension and stiffness in the muscles and joints. This will be followed by guided breathing techniques and a short relaxation practice. The emphasis on Day 1 will be on building awareness of the body.

Evening Class each evening will include a workshop on developing yoga breathing techniques, and meditation practices.

Day 3 ♦ The 2nd morning class will offer guidance on co-ordinating breath and movement.

Day 4 ♦ Optional Day Trip 

Day 5 ♦ The 3rd morning class will build on sequences of postures with the emphasis on witnessing the effects on the mind.

Day 6 ♦ The 4th mornings class will focus on postures and breathing techniques that work best for you, to bring into your daily life.

Evening workshop on simple Daily Meditation practices to help restore inner harmony.

Day 7♦ Free time to relax or catch up on last minute shopping before returning home. Transfer to airport.
